JQuery has allowed us to become a lot more creative with our internet ads. Rather than the same old 1-deminsional ads, or standard JavaScript oriented rotating ads, we can add a lot more movement and smooth transitions to our ads.

Of course, it's probably easier for some programmers to create .gif ads or using Flash's AS3 (Action Script). Personally I prefer JQuery because the script is lighter and not only easier to learn to make changes.
